Tom Morello

Tom Morello, born May 30, 1964, is an influential American musician, political activist, and songwriter, best known as the guitarist for the rock bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. His genre spans rock, metal, alternative, and folk, often incorporating elements of hip-hop and punk. Morello gained prominence in the 1990s with Rage Against the Machine, whose self-titled debut album (1992) features iconic tracks like "Killing in the Name" and "Bulls on Parade." The band's fusion of heavy guitar riffs and politically charged lyrics positioned them as a voice for social justice. After Rage, he formed Audioslave with members of Soundgarden, releasing three successful albums from 2002 to 2005, including the hit "Like a Stone." Beyond his band work, Morello has released solo music under the name The Nightwatchman, emphasizing his activism through folk and protest songs.
